Accomodation

We recommend making hotel reservation at the »Welcome Hotel Darmstadt« or the »Etap Hotel Darmstadt« where we have arranged a number of rooms. We also recommend the Youth hostel »Jugendherberge Woog« for low budget options. Here is some basic information about the hotels:

Welcome Hotel Darmstadt

The »Welcome Hotel Darmstadt« is right in the heart of the city located opposite to the »Darmstadtium« where the conference will take place.

Public Transport

From the main station you can take the tram (line No. 3) to the stop »Schloss« or you can take the bus (lines H, D, F) or the tram (line No. 5) to the stop »Luisenplatz«. From the »Luisenplatz« you can take a taxi or the tram (line No. 2, 9) until the stop »Schloss«. The hotel is on the right side. In a three minutes distance walk you are in the hotel. (If there is no bus or tram available at the main station the next minute you can also take a 2 minutes walk to the “Berliner Allee”. Exit the main station and turn to your right. Follow the rails until you cross the next big street, this is the “Berliner Allee”. You will see a tram/bus station immediately. From there you can follow the above directions heading “Luisenplatz”.)

Etap Hotel Darmstadt

The Etap Hotel on the other side of the heart of the city is closer to the main station than the Welcome hotel. The Etap Hotel is located in the city centre only 10 minutes from the main railway station within walking distance and 2 km from the highway A5. There are 94 comfortable rooms, each offering accommodation for up to two adults and one child under the age of 12. Wi-Fi access is available free of charge. Public Transport

From the main station you can take the bus (lines H, D, F) or the tram (line No. 5) until the stop »Rhein-Neckar-Straße«. From the intersection you will find the »Kasinostraße 4-6« at your left (in the direction you were driving). (If there is no bus or tram available at the main station in a minute, you can also take a 2 minutes walk to the “Berliner Allee”. Exit the main station and turn to your right. Follow the rails until you cross the next big street, this is the “Berliner Allee”. You will see a tram/bus station immediately. From there you can take all of the above transport).

Public Transport

From the main station you can take the bus (lines H or K) or the tram (line No. 2 or 3) until the stop »Schloß«. From there take the bus (line L) until the stop “Woog”. You will find the hostel on the right side straight ahead of you.
